New energy conversion system built by WVU engineers will bridge gap between renewable energy and power grid - Wenyuan Li and John Hu

Wenyuan Li, research assistant professor, and Xingbo Liu, interim associate dean for research and professor of mechanical and aerospace engineering, will work with manufacturing company Saint-Gobain and other partners to develop an efficient energy conversion system that has the ability to both split water to generate hydrogen and use hydrogen as a fuel to generate power, thanks to a $3 million award from the United States Department of Energy.

No one knows what happens after death, but a student in the Statler College created a video game that considers what uncertainties could lie ahead.

A novel modeling and optimization framework intended to support the United States energy industry developed in part by a Statler College engineer, Debangsu Bhattacharyya, has received global recognition for its capabilities to address the nation’s need for clean energy reliably and efficiently.

NETL and WVU engineers receive global award for transformational energy technology

A collaborative project between the National Energy Technology Laboratory and Statler College researchers John Hu and Debangsu Bhattacharyya has received the prestigious IChemE Global Award for the development of a revolutionary new microwave ammonia synthesis process that can utilize renewable electricity to make ammonia, a liquid energy carrier.
