Dear friends and colleagues,

As Thanksgiving approaches, I am extremely thankful for the hard work and dedication of our students, faculty, and staff and their contributions to the success of the Statler College of Engineering and Mineral Resources.

The articles presented in this issue of EngineeringWV Wired showcase the outstanding work of our faculty in teaching and research, the excellent work of our students and student groups, and continued Mountaineer traditions.

We have had much to celebrate this past month as we welcomed back the annual Pumpkin Drop after a two-year hiatus and hosted a series of events and activities during Diversity Week at WVU. Congratulations to the faculty, students and staff who were recognized during diversity week and the students who took the initiative to host the College's first-ever student-led diversity conference. Special recognition goes to the Lane Department of Computer Science and Electrical Engineering for hosting the first Industry Day to strengthen our partnerships with industry professionals and government agencies.

It's been a great month at the Statler College, thanks to the dedicated efforts and hard work of our faculty, students, and staff.
