Stafanie Corbitt

Stefanie

Like mother, like son

Statler College has provided a home to not only Stafanie Corbitt, but now to her son Isaac Corbitt as well.

Corbitt received a bachelor’s degree in biology in 1991 and a master’s degree in occupational safety and health in 1993 from WVU. She also holds an associate in pharmaceutical technologies from Frederick Community College. Her son, Isaac, is now a student in the Department of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering.

She has 20 years of experience in safety, health, environmental and product stewardship regulation interpretation, guidance, training, compliance assurance programming and auditing. In 2005, Corbitt started her own consultation firm, SSI OSHA Company.

“The faculty and staff in the 1990s demanded hands on projects to develop experience for their grad students,” Corbitt said. “This provided the edge necessary for being prepared to immediately get to work upon new hire.”

Her son Isaac is expected to graduate from Statler College in 2024.
