Statler Video Contest Winners
As part of National Engineers Week, the Statler College Office of Marketing and Communications challenged students across West Virginia University to create videos that answer the age-old question: "What do engineers do?"
Nine interdisciplinary teams created the 90 second or less
videos that showed everything engineers do – from delivering treats via the Mars
rover to Brando, the Statler College’s therapy dog, to flying drones and
running experiments.
Entries were judged based on quality, creativity and breadth of subjects shown. Because of the great quality and creativity of all entries, two first place prizes and one second place prize were awarded. Members of the first place teams will each receive a GoPro Hero+ HD action camera with members of the second place team each receiving $50 Best Buy gift cards.
