George Bennett was one of six individuals selected for induction into Order of Vandalia for 2018. He joins a distinguished list of recipients including Sen. Jay Rockefeller, Sen. Robert C. Byrd, Hazel Ruby McQuain, Sen. Jennings Randolph, John Chambers, James "Buck" Harless and Jack Fleming.

Bennettis a successful entrepreneur who has shared his expertise with the federal government and supported organizations such as the National Youth Science Foundation and Urban Improv to give children a brighter future. A 1967 graduate of WVU with a bachelor's degree in industrial engineering, Bennett is amember of the Alumni Association’s Academy of Distinguished Alumni and the West Virginia Business Hall of Fame. He was recognized by the WVU Foundation with its Outstanding Philanthropist Award in 2015. He currently serves as the chairman and CEO of Good Measures, LLC, which provides personalized health and nutritional recommendations as well as diabetes prevention and management support programs to its clients.
