Chemical and Biomedical Engineering

Md Abdullah Al Masud, a chemical engineering graduate student, won third place with a $250 monetary prize at the I&EC Graduate Student Award Symposium during the ACS 2024 Fall Meeting.  This symposium allows outstanding graduate students, currently enrolled in a program in the chemical sciences, to disseminate their research to the global professional community.


Lane Department of Computer Science and Electrical Engineering

Mohamed Elgouhary and Rukesh Prajapati, Ph.D. students in the Lane Department of Computer Science and Electrical Engineering, received a Travel Grant from the National Science Foundation (NSF) to attend a hands-on workshop by ARA Wireless Living Lab at Iowa State University in August. ARA is an at-scale platform for advanced wireless research, and serves as a wireless living lab for smart and connected rural communities, enabling the research and development of rural-focused wireless technologies that provide affordable, high-capacity connectivity to rural communities and industries such as agriculture.
