Chemical and Biomedical Engineering

MESA Lab undergraduate researchers,Pratham Bhanushali received first runner-up in the Physical Sciences & Engineering Category, and Ashley Smalley won the People's Choice Award in the Biological & Biochemical Sciences Category, for their posters at the 2025 SURE Symposium! 


Mechanical, Materials and Aerospace Engineering

Mountaineer Formula SAE team  participated in the Pittsburgh Vintage Grand Prix's “Backyard Brawl" on Saturday, July 19, where they went head-to-head with FSAE teams from Carnegie Mellon, Pitt, and Penn State. The team placed 14th overall out of the 59 cars that ran the MOTUL Hillclimb course. 


Petroleum and Natural Gas Engineering

Samuel Ameri, chair of the Petroleum and Natural Gas Engineering Department, has been reappointed as a member of the ABET Board of Delegates to enforce accreditation standards. The ABET Board of Delegates and its four area delegations, applied and natural sciences, computing, engineering and engineering technology, are responsible for approving accreditation policies and procedures, general criteria and the organization of its accreditation commissions. Ameri's previous appointment was in 2022.
