MEDIA ADVISORY: West Virginia University Department of Industrial and Management Systems to host workshop in Advanced Manufacturing
WHAT: The Department of Industrial and Management Systems together with the Statler Office of Outreach and Enrollment at West Virginia University will host the inaugural Industry 4.0 Workshop in Advanced Manufacturing
WHEN: Wednesday, December 11, 8:30 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.
WHERE: Engineering Sciences Building (ESB) Rooms ESB G70 (Smart Manufacturing Lab) ESB G19 (StemZone), 1306 Evansdale Drive, Morgantown, W.Va.

NOTES: The target audience is high school teachers and vocational instructors that want to learn more about Advanced Manufacturing. Attendees will experience hands-on exercises on the Cyber-Physical Lab and Smart Manufacturing Lab that showcase both the impact of technology on manufacturing and the resources available at WVU for future students. Exposing teachers to this information will enable them to educate students about the exciting and rewarding career choice in manufacturing and that WVU provides an exceptional education with state-of-the-art equipment in this field. Individuals from W.Va., Pennsylvania and Maryland will be in attendance. The event is sponsored by Festo Didactics.
