The Statler College of Engineering and Mineral Resources at West Virginia University welcomed a vibrant gathering of students, faculty, staff, and alumni for the "All Voices as One: Together We Shape and Innovate the Future" conference on October 2. This student-led event fostered a dynamic environment for sharing personal, academic, and professional insights, featuring an inspiring guest speaker, engaging speed networking with alumni, and an exciting poster competition.
We’re excited to introduce our September alumna, Laurie Wiegand-Jackson, a distinguished 1984 graduate of the Department of Chemical and Biomedical Engineering at West Virginia University.
The Statler College of Engineering and Mineral Resources at West Virginia University, and the Statler College Academic Diversity Committee, announced the recipients of the College’s 2024 Excellence in Cultivating Engagement and Belonging Award. The awards were distributed to the recipients in conjunction with WVU’s Diversity Week celebration.
For the month of August, we are excited to feature Line-Audrey Nkule, alumna of the Department of Mining Engineering. Nkule serves as senior autonomy engineer at Caterpillar Inc., an American mining and engineering equipment manufacturer.
The Alumni Who Inspire! Program in the Statler College of Engineering and Mineral Resources recognizes alumni for their dedication to their professions, our college and West Virginia University. The program was launched in Fall 2023 as a monthly discussion board with alumni of the College.
