From meeting in the military and falling in love, to going back to school together at West Virginia University after serving over two decades in the United States Navy, Stacy and Blane Fike have always been there for each other.
Salvi Singh an MS student in Computer Science from the Lane Department of Computer Science and Electrical Engineering who works in the Laboratory of Dr. Lan Guo, as a Research Assistant was awarded the NSF Travel Award for her presentation at the 9th ACM Conference on Bioinformatics, Computational Biology, and Health Informatics (ACM BCB 2018).
With one year left to go in the four-year EcoCAR 3 competition, the team from West Virginia University finds itself in some pretty good company. After a two-week stint that featured stops in Michigan and Washington, D.C., the team from WVU placed fourth overall, joining Ohio State University, Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University and Georgia Tech at the top.
