WVU Alumni Association and Statler College of Engineering and Mineral Resources receive major gift donations

The West Virginia University Alumni Association and the Benjamin M. Statler College of Engineering and Mineral Resources have both received major gift donations totaling $500,000 from The Thrasher Group, a leading engineering firm, headquartered in Clarksburg. The amount, which will be evenly split between the College and the Association, lends further support in the construction of Statler College’s Advanced Engineering Research Building and the naming of the Erickson Alumni Center Courtyard as the Thrasher Courtyard.

Alumni come back to recruit at WVU engineering career fair

Career fairs can be nerve-wracking. For freshmen, sophomore and junior students, the future of their careers can ride on placement into a respected internship or co-op. For seniors about to graduate, the pressure to find a position in the real-world can add overwhelming anxiety to a year already filled with tough classes and rigorous schedules.
