Team from WVU selected for international drilling competition

Students at West Virginia University have been very successful as of late at excelling in national robotics competitions. While those teams were made up of students from computer science, mechanical and electrical engineering, a new team made up mostly of petroleum and natural gas engineering students hopes to make their mark on the competition stage.

WVU engineering students spend summer seeking opportunities

Opportunity comes to those who seek it. AsWest Virginia Universityengineering students flock back to campus, many will arrive from opportunities they found in the form of internships, work experiences and fellowships that took them all around the world. With new-found knowledge and once-in-a-lifetime stories to tell, these students made an impact on the companies they worked for, the communities they visited and their future careers over the past three months.

Families' industry connection lives on, thanks to recent gift to WVU

Mark Leidecker was looking for a way to forever tie his families' name to the oil and gas industry. On May 8, that dream became a reality with the dedication of the Leidecker Brothers Energy Laboratory in West Virginia University's Statler College of Engineering and Mineral Resources.
